Nukeproof has introduced a series of headsets featuring race bearings with stainless steel balls coated in titanium. The application of titanium coating employs Physical Vapour Deposition, a process where the material is vaporized in a vacuum setting and then deposited onto the bearing races as a layered coating. This technique enables precise control over the coating’s structure, density, and composition, ensuring alignment with our design specifications. The coating measures a mere 0.000118 in thickness and forms a molecular bond with the bearing races, ensuring long-lasting resistance to wear and corrosion.

The bearings are certified with an ABEC 5 rating, attesting to their successful completion of comprehensive tests, encompassing inner and outer diameter tolerances, ball roundness, face and surface accuracy, as well as noise evaluation at high RPMs. Consequently, these bearings prove to be the ideal choice for headset use.
